Can I hang my artwork outdoors?
I don’t recommend placing your artwork in direct sunlight or outdoor conditions. UV exposure will cause the burn detail to fade over time.
Some pieces, such as door signs, are finished with a protective coat of spar urethane and can handle outdoor use better. However, even these will need to be resealed every 2–4 years to maintain their finish and protection.
How do commissions work?
If you're interested in a custom commission that isn't already offered in my shop, simply reach out to me by email with your ideas. We'll discuss your vision, review reference photos if needed, and I'll recommend the most suitable wood, size, and design for your piece. Once we've finalized the details, I'll provide a price estimate.
To reserve your commission and begin work, a non-refundable deposit of one-third of the total cost is required. This secures your place in my schedule and allows me to begin creating your artwork.
When your piece is complete, I'll send you photographs for your approval before final payment is due. Once the remaining balance has been received, your artwork will be carefully packaged and shipped to its new home.
How do you price your artwork?
Pricing is based on the size of the piece, the level of detail in the design, and the type of wood used for your artwork. Each commission is unique, so pricing reflects the time, craftsmanship, and materials required for your specific piece..
Can I send my own wood for you to use?
Absolutely! I'm happy to create artwork on wood that has special meaning to you.
For safety and quality reasons, I can only work on certain types of natural wood. I cannot accept painted, sealed, treated, or engineered woods (such as particle board or MDF).
Before shipping your wood, please send me a few photos so I can confirm it's suitable for pyrography.
Do you accept returns?
Because each piece is handcrafted and many of my artworks are custom-made, I do not accept returns or exchanges unless the artwork was damaged during shipping.
If your artwork is damaged, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery and include photographs of both the artwork and the packaging. I will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
If a return is required, the artwork must be returned to me before a refund or replacement can be issued.
